Diversity & Inclusivity Committee
Creates programming designed to help our employers understand the value and path to becoming more diverse and inclusive and assists chamber leadership in making sure the chamber’s board, committee and programming reflects our region and aspirations.
Promotes green initiatives and helps businesses adopt environmentally friendly practices in cost efficient ways.
A sub-committee of the Board of Directors led by the chamber’s treasurer, the Finance Committee provides oversight of the chamber’s budget and financial policies.
Assists the staff with the planning and execution of our annual Children's Charitable Golf Tournament.
A sub-committee of the Board of Directors, the Governance Committee makes recommendations related to the board’s role, composition and by-laws. The committee nominates qualified individuals based on criteria to be elected as board members.
Organizes quarterly legal themed programming - primarily panels and workshops - to help local business professionals navigate common legal challenges.
N2 Innovation District Task Force
Steering committee of public officials, property owners, entrepreneurs, educators and business leaders. The group develops programming, marketing strategies and key initiatives for the purpose of creating a suburban destination for innovation sector companies, as well as to cultivate a live, learn, work, play culture within the area.
Comprised of business, civic and community leaders working together to ensure the economic and cultural vitality of Needham through awareness campaigns, strategic initiatives and events, including two street fairs.
Coordinates events and initiatives designed to serve the nonprofit community. Includes informal networking events, periodic guest speakers and targeted workshops. The group also seeks to build valuable and lasting partnerships between for-profit and nonprofit members of the chamber.
Organizes real estate events and reviews/advises on trends and developments. Programs range from in-depth forums to social networking events.
A forum for owners and managers to share information, innovative ideas and collaborate on ways to nurture our local hospitality industry.
Reviews applications and awards three scholarships every spring to graduating high school seniors from Newton, Needham, Watertown and Wellesley.
Comprised of business, civic and community leaders working together to ensure the economic and cultural vitality of Wellesley through awareness campaigns, strategic initiatives and events as we continue to expand into Wellesley, after the closing of the Wellesley Chamber.
Organizes a wide variety of networking opportunities, social events, business development workshops and panel discussions. Events include the very popular members-only monthly Women in Networking lunch series as well as seminars and guest speakers on timely issues.
The chamber’s young professionals group provides opportunities for professionals under 40 to network, foster professional development and engage in community activism through topical conversations, social meet-ups, workshops and other initiatives.
