2024 State Rep. Debates

Three state reps. in the Chamber's footprint are retiring at the end of this legislative session. The chamber hosted debates for all races ahead of the Sept. 3rd Democratic Primary and two ahead of the November 5th general election. Watch them below

11th Middlesex District

This debate took place on October 1st and was between former City Councilor and Democrat Amy Sangiolo and businessman andĀ Republican Vladislav Yanovsky.Ā This seat covers part of Newton.

13th Norfolk District

This debate took placeĀ on September 26th between Democratic candidateĀ Joshua TarskyĀ andĀ Bill Dermody, who isĀ running as an unenrolled candidate. This seat covers Needham, Dover, and part of Medfield.

This debate took place July 16th and was between Patrick A. Gatto,Ā Kenneth Ruetenik,Ā andĀ Joshua Tarsky.Ā Theyā€™ll compete with Bill Dermody, whoā€™s running as an unenrolled candidate in November. This seat covers Needham, Dover, and part of Medfield.

12th Middlesex District

This debate took place July 18th and was between two sitting city councilors, Rick LipofĀ andĀ Bill Humphrey, and their former council colleague, Greg Schwartz. No Republicans or independents are running, so the September winner will go to Beacon Hill. This seat covers part of Newton and Brookline.
