GEMIMA ST. LOUIS, PH.D.
Vice President for Workforce Initiatives & Specialty Training, William James College
As a clinical psychologist and the first-appointed vice president for workforce initiatives at William James College in Newton, St. Louis has dedicated her career to training, mentoring, and educating behavioral health providers to address persistent mental health disparities that disproportionately affect individuals, families, and groups from historically excluded backgrounds. An advocate for equitable access to higher education, St. Louis has provided leadership in the design and implementation of the collegeās career ladder programs for undergraduate and graduate students who are underrepresented in the fields of psychology and counseling.
An immigrant of Haitian descent, St. Louis has been recognized by the City of Boston mayorās office for her leadership and dedicated services to the Haitian community. She is a member of the American Psychological Associationās Leadership Institute for Women in Psychology, and the Society for the Psychological Study of Culture, Ethnicity and Race.
