MYRIAM MICHEL
Executive Director, Healthy Waltham
Michel serves as executive director of Healthy Waltham, a nonprofit that works to alleviate health disparities and improve the health outcomes of the city’s most vulnerable residents. During the Covid-19 pandemic, Healthy Waltham became Waltham’s first line of defense against hunger for the city’s high population of working poor, low-income seniors, and recent immigrants. Weekly food pantries were quickly established that often served 1,000 families per event. In addition to being a nonprofit executive director, Michel is also an entrepreneur and business owner, founding M&M Elite Events, a boutique event planning company that serves a diverse range of clients, from Planned Parenthood of Massachusetts and CommonWealth Kitchen to high-end corporations.
